You can enter the Juvenile monthly competitions which are a re-entry competition commencing in April and ending at the end of September. Details of these competitions are included in the Juvenile competition books in the mens and ladies locker rooms.

A student/junior member may put his/her name on the timesheet at any time however, only those student/junior members with a handicap less than 12 are allowed put their name on the timesheet before 11.00 am on Sunday for singles competitions.
For all competitions a student/junior member must have a full member on the timesheet with them. If it is a team event they must have a minimum of one full member on the team.
Student/junior members are eligible to play in all the men's competitions but will be playing for the Junior prize. Where the competition is a team event then they will be eligible to win any prize.

Rights and Responsibilities on the Course
Rights
A student/junior/juvenile member has the same rights and responsibilities on the course as any other member. You should treat other members with the same courtesy that you would expect from them. You should not be abusive or suffer abuse on the course.

WHAT SHOULD I DO ON COMPETITION DAY
Student/Junior
The student/junior competition fees for singles competitions are €2, for team competitions the junior fee is the same as full members (this is because you are eligible to win a team prize).
The club has moved to a pre-pay system for competition fees. You can prepay competition fees onto your swipe card by paying cash to the bar or the office and indicating that the cash should be put against your competition fee account.
For boys/girls, when you arrive at the clubhouse for a competition you swipe your card in on the computer in the men's/ladies locker rooms, this will sign you in for the competition and the relevant fee will be deducted from your account. A label printer will print the label for the current competition. Fix the label to your card.
Check your handicap on the handicap list before play commences.
WHAT SHOULD I DO WHEN I COMPLETE MY ROUND
Student/Junior
You should first check your scorecard; ensure that you and the marker have signed the card. Ensure that it is properly dated, has the correct handicap and the name of the competition you are entering.
You must swipe in on the computer again, enter your results, check the scores to ensure they agree with the results on your scorecard, then press accept. Put your card in the competition box.
The sheet for the Matchplay draw will be displayed on the notice board in the Men's and Ladies Locker rooms during the month of April. If you wish to participate please enter your name on the sheet. The draw will take place during the month of May. All are welcome however you must have your official handicap by the date of the draw.
It is the responsibility of the first player to contact the opponent to arrange the match. The results of your match should be written onto the matchplay chart in the men's locker room in order to facilitate the completion of the next round etc. a copy of which will also be displayed in the ladies locker room.
Fran Bailey is the sponsor of the Matchplay prizes, for which we are very grateful.
