Interclub Competitions
This year we entered the juniors into three interclub competitions:
The Jimmy Hackett Trophy
The Jimmy Hackett trophy 2011 was held in Newlands GC on Thursday 21th April 2011.
We entered two teams of 4, Neil Campbell, Alan Lally, Daniel Cosgrove, Dean Cafferty, Dean Bailey, Jonathan Mallin, Peter Smyth and Aidan Ryan.
Well done to the boys who finished 3rd after a count back. Congratulations to Dean Cafferty who won his class with a fabulous score of net 65.
The Irish Junior Foursomes
The qualifiers for the Irish Junior foursomes will be played at Highfield Golf Club on Thursday 23rd June 2011.
The team will consisted of Niel Campbell, Alan Lally, Dean Cafferty and David Mahon. Maximum handicap is 12.
We had a great performance and finished joint 6th on the day. Congratulations to Dean and David for a fabulous score of Net 63 on the day (the best score by 3.5 shots).
The Leinster U15 interclub matchplay
The qualifiers for the Leinster U15 interclub matchplay involve matches against Bodenstown, Castlewarden, Grange Castle and Naas. All matches need to be played by the 27th June 2011 with the winner of the group progressing to the knockout stages commencing in July 2011.
The team will panel consisted of Dean Cafferty, Dean Bailey, Eoin McDermott, Ian Kavanagh, Raphe Byrne, Paul Lally and Gareth Canning. We won 2 of our 4 matches. Congratulations to the boys who put in a fantastic.
The Tile-Style Challenge
This is a new event for us which will follow the same formatt as the Jimmy Hackett. The competition will take place in Stackstown on the 18th July 2011.
