Local Rules

1. Out Of Bounds:

  • Outside any fence, ditch or drain bounding the Course
  • Outside the white posts on the right hand side of the 1st hole. The practice area, including the practice putting green, the car park and the Clubhouse area.

2. Water Hazard: (Rule 26-1)

  • Relief to be taken as per rule for water hazard (Yellow Stakes) and Lateral water hazard (Red Stakes).

3. Immovable obstructions (Rule 24-2):

  • All staked trees, seats, shelters, pathways and stakes must be treated as an immovable obstructions i.e. When a ball lies in or on the obstruction, or when the obstruction interferes with the players stance or the area of his intended swing, the player must lift the ball and drop it, without penalty, within in one club-length of the nearest point of relief and not nearer the hole.

4. Plugged Ball:

  • A ball embedded in its own pitch-mark in the ground in any closely-mown area may be lifted, cleaned and dropped, without penalty, as near as possible to the spot where it lay but not nearer the hole.

5. Ground under Repair (Rule 25-1):

  • All machinery marks are deemed "Ground under repair". On these areas and any others marked GUR, the player MUST lift the ball and drop it, without penalty, within one club-length of and not nearer the hole, than the nearest point of relief.

6. A ball coming to rest on a green or on a playing surface of a tee, other than that being played to or from, must be lifted and dropped to the nearest point of relief not nearer the hole.

7. Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions (Rule 24-1 applies)
