The Jimmy Bruen inter club qualifying competition was held in Kilcock Golf Club over the weekend and we thank all concerned with the smooth running of the competition. All areas of the club are to be commended, greenkeepers for the excellent condition of the course, catering for the excellent service provided, parking facilitators and the general hospitality. The GUI is thankful to Kilcock Golf Club and it’s members for allowing the club to be used for this inter-club competition.
The JMC has become aware of problems which occurred with Societies on Saturday 8th June when a larger number of players than expected turned up for one of the societies. The JMC in conjunction with synergy golf has assessed the situation and a temporary employee for the summer has been engaged which will allow these busier days to be managed more effectively. The society concerned has also been advised of the problems caused.
The course and the greens in particular are now showing the improvement and we expect this to continue during the summer and lay the basis for better greens and course in the future.
